The Lancaster at 80

The Lancaster Bomber (International Title, The Lancaster Bomber) tells how, as Bomber Command’s most destructive weapon, it went on to become instrumental in the defeat of Nazi Germany during the second world war.

With contributions from military historians Alexandra Churchill, Dr Peter Johnston and James Holland, authors Leo McKinstry (Lancaster) and Mark Johnson (Pilots of the Caribbean), history enthusiast Arthur Williams and veteran Lancaster crewmembers, The Lancaster Bomber offers new angles on the aircraft’s complex legacy, the brave multi-cultural aircrews who flew it and the celebrated, but controversial, Arthur ‘Bomber’ Harris.
